An Elephant Head Walking Cane (Robert Pringle) C. 1902
A comical elephant is carved into a hardwood imago handle, with beautifully carved trunk. fitted with early sulphur oxide eyes, solid silver embellishments of ears and eyebrows and bone tusks. The head is separated from the shaft by a solid silver collar with London hallmarks and joins a malacca shaft which is devoid of a ferrule.
