A comical elephant is carved into a hardwood imago handle, with beautifully carved trunk. fitted with early sulphur oxide eyes, solid silver embellishments of ears and eyebrows and bone tusks. The head is separated from the shaft by a solid silver collar with London hallmarks and joins a malacca shaft which is devoid of a ferrule. SOLD

A comical folk art gentleman in the grotesque style made from one piece of briar wood. With a hat and three button suit this chap really is the sartorialist even if he does look a bit of a grump. With early inset sulphur eyes and detailed carvings to the face and hair. The briar wood extends down the shaft with thick protruding knotty bumps. The tip is completed with an iron tipped brass ferrule. SOLD
An unusual Pizzle (Bulls Penis) cane with interwoven strands folded together to form a Crown Knot as the imago handle. A solid silver collar with Birmingham Hallmarks wraps around the shaft which has naturally curved through the years but remains beautifully preserved. The shaft extends to the tip which is devoid of a ferrule. SOLD
